Felix in Exile

I saw this last video semester in my Art Today history class. I thought this was a beautiful film. The medium and technique that Kentridge uses gives this piece a whole different dimension. He creates a drawing and then makes erasures and changes, and then films it again. He continues this process and gives each change in the drawing a quarter of a second to two seconds' screen time.

William Kentridge is just one of the artists that will be featured at the MoMA (also Monet's Water Lilies, Tim Burton, Irving Penn, and The New Typography exhibit!!!!) when Teresa and I go for our birthdays in March!

I think this is probably my favorite website I've ever found.

I love the colors, the illustration, the music, and how interactive the site is.

Typography Addiction

My advanced type class is so inspiring. TONS of work, but the things we find and look

at are usually beautiful and interesting. I saw this designers work yesterday in a book

and had to find more of Jo Ratcliffe:

and then I found her website:

I must say, most of her work is a little too dark and risque for my liking, however,

the remnant is delightfully inspiring to me.
